Job Summary
Professional Services Consultant to join CAI’s Discrete COE PS team, supporting implementations of CAI Material Trace (genealogy and integration product) for discrete manufacturing customers. You will execute Material Trace implementation tasks (configuration, data setup, testing, user enablement), build and support integrations between Material Trace and customer ERP systems (including Trimble Tekla PowerFab, Cityworks, IFS, SyteLine, and other client platforms), and execute data migration from legacy traceability systems. You’ll participate in shop-floor data capture integrations, write and run test scenarios, support customer UAT, and document configurations and runbooks. The role requires 4–7 years of manufacturing/traceability experience, familiarity with barcode/RFID hardware, and knowledge of VB.net/JavaScript, REST APIs, and SQL. Collaboration with senior U.S.-based consultants and exposure to the Trimble ecosystem and discrete manufacturing domains are a plus. Role is full-time with a Bangalore center of excellence, hybrid in-office schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years of implementation or development experience in manufacturing, traceability, WMS, or related execution software
- Manufacturing domain knowledge — preferably with traceability, genealogy, or functional experience (steel, food, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or aerospace)
- Experience with barcode, RFID, or mobile data collection hardware and related integration patterns
- Understanding of VB.net, Visual Studio Code, or similar application Java, Java script for customization and integration work
- Familiarity with code management tools like DevOps
- Basic SQL skills understanding data migration, reporting, and issue investigation
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integration patterns with ERP systems
- Exposure to structural steel fabrication, municipal operations, or discrete manufacturing is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal English for technical documentation and customer-facing communications
- Excellent analytical and communication skills for engaging customers and fellow employees
