Job Summary

As an Avionics Systems Design Approval Delegate (DAD), you will oversee the development, testing, certification, and support of Avionics Systems in Bombardier's aircraft. Responsibilities include integrating various avionics systems, managing requirements to ensure safety and compliance, collaborating with suppliers, conducting certification tests and audits, and addressing design-related issues in production and in-service support. The ideal candidate has significant experience with aircraft avionics, particularly in auto flight and navigation systems, and possesses strong communication and teamwork skills.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Extensive working experience with system design, test and certification requirements of aircraft avionics systems
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Current or candidate for DAD / DAR status preferred
  • Familiarity with TCCA, EASA or FAA
  • Knowledge of civil airworthiness FAR Part 25 regulations
  • Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems
  • Familiarity with DO-178, DO-160, DO-254, ARP4754 and ARP4761 standards
