Job Summary
Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electronic locking systems, door hardware, and access products. Rekey cylinders, duplicate keys, and service automatic door openers while coordinating materials and maintaining accurate documentation. Perform after-hours on-call service via rotation and drive the company van for road-based assignments. Maintain confidentiality of customer data and keying records while adhering to all safety standards and site regulations. Work primarily M-F 7am-4pm with occasional shop duties, requiring a valid driver's license and DOT card.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years of locksmith or related hands-on experience (or equivalent training/education)
- Basic locksmith skills such as rekeying and key duplication are required
- Valid driver's license
- Sound driving record
- DOT Card (if operating company vehicle)
- Must pass a DOT Physical
- Must pass a lift test
- Must pass a drug screen
- Ability to pass company driving/non-DOT requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive keying systems and customer data
- Must adhere to all safety standards and job site regulations
- Working hours are typically M-F 7am-4pm Daily
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with commercial door hardware and access systems preferred
- Experience with automatic door openers is preferred
- Locksmith certification (e.g., ALOA or equivalent)
- OSHA or safety certifications
- Experience with Automatic Door Openers
- Experience with electronic products and basic knowledge of access control systems
