Job Summary
Drive new business, build agent and broker relationships, and identify product opportunities for unique, unusual, or unconventional risks. Handle accounts of all sizes, travel and entertain clients, and seek opportunities to access new brokerage markets and products. Develop and submit underwriting referrals to company facilities, monitor key metrics like new business hit ratio and loss ratio, and formulate corrective actions. Mentor and train new brokers while working independently to meet production goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong sales and marketing skills
- Ability to perform tasks in a stationary position throughout working hours
- Travel when necessary in order to foster strong client relationships
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional lines experience is preferred
- Interest in continued education and professional development
- RPLU designation is preferred
