Job Summary
Oversee land surveying projects from initial planning through final delivery, ensuring accuracy, compliance with California regulations, and adherence to deadlines. Manage project schedules, coordinate deliverables, and review certified survey documents including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking work. Provide technical oversight to field crews and office staff by verifying data, analyzing legal descriptions, and resolving field issues. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and municipalities while mentoring junior staff. Utilize survey software to prepare and review project deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
- Strong experience managing land surveying projects
- Knowledge of Boundary surveys
- Knowledge of Topographic surveys
- Knowledge of Construction staking
- Knowledge of Mapping and legal descriptions
- Understanding of California surveying regulations and standards
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with Survey data processing software
- Experience with GPS and total station equipment
- Experience coordinating with Civil engineers
- Experience coordinating with Contractors
- Experience coordinating with Public agencies
- Experience coordinating with Developers
