Job Summary
Lead and manage the Surveying & Mapping Department in responsible charge, providing mentoring, QA/QC oversight, and operational leadership. Direct boundary, topographic, construction staking, and mapping workflows; review surveying calculations, analyses, and deliverables; oversee certification packages, plats, ALTA/ACSM surveys, and associated documents. Cultivate and grow client relationships across Southern California and support proposals, scope development, and strategic market expansion. Requires active California PLS license, 10+ years of land surveying experience, 5+ years of leadership/management experience, and a bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or equivalent. Preferred knowledge includes the California Subdivision Map Act and proficiency with GPS, total stations, and scanning; strong leadership, mentoring, analytical, and communication skills for multidisciplinary coordination and client presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
- 10+ years of land surveying experience in Southern California
- 5+ years of leadership or management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
