Job Summary
Manage survey project management duties, including proposal development, scope definition, labor estimates, scheduling, and project closeout. Coordinate with field crews and project teams while providing direction and mentorship to technical staff. Prepare and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, subdivision plats, and control networks. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and GNSS workflows to support accurate project delivery. Collaborate with engineers and project managers across offices, representing the company to clients and agencies. Travel to survey sites and other J-U-B offices as needed. Requires current Idaho Professional Land Surveyor license.
Required Qualifications
- Current Idaho Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License; or current PLS licensure in another state with the ability to obtain Idaho licensure within 6 months
- 8-15+ years of survey experience
- demonstrated experience managing survey projects and coordinating with project teams
- Knowledge and ability to utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
- Experience effectively managing multiple, complex survey projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
- Good organizational skills
- demonstrated ability to mentor, coordinate, and support survey team members
- Proven client interfacing skills
- interest in developing long-term client relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- the ability to coordinate with engineers, project managers, field crews, agencies, and clients
- Willing to work in inclement weather and all types of terrain, when field work is required
Desired Qualifications
- Operating drones for topographic surveying and processing the resulting data
- Operating and processing LiDAR scanning equipment and data
- Geodetic control networks
- Bathymetric surveying, transportation/right-of-way surveys, and municipal infrastructure projects
