Job Summary
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across warehouse and associated spaces to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and site EHS requirements. Develop and maintain comprehensive safety programs, investigate incidents and near-misses, and deliver training programs to foster a culture of safety. Track safety metrics, materials usage, and inventory levels while serving as a liaison for regulatory inspections and emergency response planning. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related fields, 1-5 years of warehouse and safety management experience, and current knowledge of OSHA regulations. Located onsite in Apex, NC, with a Monday to Friday schedule plus additional shift coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse, materials management systems, inventory control processes, and procurement practices
- 1-5 years of experience in safety management, materials coordination, or a combination of both within commercial, industrial, or facilities management environments
- Current knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and best practices for workplace safety and health
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret safety data, identify trends, and develop actionable solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver training and present complex information to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with safety management software, inventory systems, or facilities management platforms
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Professional safety certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP (Associate Safety Professional), or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)
- Familiarity with Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other continuous improvement frameworks
- Experience implementing or managing safety technology solutions such as incident reporting platforms or safety observation application
