Job Summary
Professional, Engineering role focused on cabin acoustics and vibration for Bombardier aircraft programs. Responsibilities include creating simulation models (FE, SEA, ray tracing), developing methods and tools for acoustics development, setting up Lab tests and flight/ground tests to quantify cabin acoustic comfort, analyzing data, and communicating conclusions. Collaborates with engineering teams to resolve acoustics issues during production, delivery, or service, and contributes to integrating new developments (connectivity, interior, comfort) into aircraft. Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering with advanced acoustics expertise (FE/SEA/ray tracing) or equivalent experience, plus 3–8 years in the field, and strong communication skills in English (French asset).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in acoustics (preferred)
- 3 to 8 years of relevant technical experience
- General knowledge in acoustics and vibrations (modeling, measurement techniques, signal processing)
- Advanced expertise in FE methods or sound design in buildings/performance halls
- Excellent communication skills; ability to adapt messaging to audience
- Fluency in English; French is an asset
