Job Summary
Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects, including site development, roadway improvements, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure. Prepare design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates while performing engineering calculations, site layout, grading, and stormwater modeling. Support project managers with schedules, budgets, permitting, and agency coordination, and conduct site visits for construction observation and documentation. Mentor junior engineers and support staff as needed. This Licensed Professional Engineer role is based in Cochran's Wentzville, Missouri location, with a preference for candidates holding a PE license and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- PE license preferred or on track to obtain within 12 months
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal design standards and permitting requirements
- Experience working with municipalities, DOTs, or private developers
- Knowledge of stormwater modeling software or other civil design tools
