Job Summary
Professional Engineer for Water Resources at Horrocks involved in design and analysis of waterlines, pumping and storage facilities, and sewer collection systems. Lead and support multi-discipline projects, develop studies/reports/plans/specifications/cost estimates, perform system modeling, and coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include proposal preparation, scope/schedule/budget development, team collaboration, and ownership of projects from start to finish, with emphasis on client relations, sub-consultant coordination, and delivering high-quality design projects.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited program in civil engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum 2-4 years of water system, sewer collection or hydraulics design experience
- Experience and relationships with municipalities, water agencies, tribes and flood control agencies are highly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD or other water system modeling, 2D Modeling, and other applicable software
- Expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic software, including HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, Flow2d, etc.
- Solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
- Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
