Job Summary
Conduct structural evaluations, repair design, and investigative projects for existing buildings, focusing on seismic assessment, retrofit, and adaptive re-use of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures. Plan site investigations to document conditions, execute construction administration including bid assistance and submittal review, and manage project budgets and schedules. Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications while interacting directly with clients and mentoring junior staff. Requires a PE license, MS in Structural Engineering, and proficiency in analysis software like ETABS and SAP. Base salary ranges from $93,600 to $120,120 USD with a $7,500 sign-on bonus, plus comprehensive benefits including 401(k) profit sharing and extensive health coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood-frame structures
- MS in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineering license (PE)
- Proficient in writing and editing of project specifications, technical reports, field reports, project correspondence, and proposals
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage project budgets
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficient in the use of computer analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP, RISA, RAM, SAFE, PERFORM 3D, etc.)
- Ability to travel to remote job sites not accessible by public transportation
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
