Job Summary
Professional Engineer for Roadway responsible for design and analysis of freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails. Prepare studies, reports, memos, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects. Lead the roadway design discipline under a Project Manager, coordinating with other design disciplines, managing client relations, stakeholders, and sub-consultants. Take ownership of projects from start to finish with emphasis on quality, budget, and schedule. Requires a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license within one year, and 5-10 years of roadway transportation engineering experience, with proficiency in Bentley/Autodesk civil design software and DOT standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer license in state of employment or ability to obtain within one year of hire
- 5-10 years of experience in roadway transportation engineering
- Solid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria
- Proficiency with Bentley and/or Autodesk civil design software
- Knowledge of DOT standards and plan preparation procedures
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
