Job Summary
Design and analysis of freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails; prepare studies, reports, memos, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects; lead roadway design discipline under PM; coordinate with design disciplines; manage client relations, stakeholder coordination, and subconsultants; ownership of projects with focus on quality, budget, and schedule; interface with coworkers to achieve shared success. Need BS Civil Engineering, PE license or ability to obtain within one year, 5-10 years roadway experience, knowledge of AASHTO criteria, proficiency with Bentley/Autodesk, DOT standards; drainage/traffic experience a plus; strong communication and MS Office skills; motivated for growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering license in state of employment or ability to obtain within one year of hire
- 5-10 years of experience in roadway transportation engineering
- Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams
- Solid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria
- Proficiency using Bentley and/or Autodesk civil design software
- Knowledge of DOT standards and plan preparation procedures
- Drainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is a plus
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project assignment
