Professional Engineer - Civil

Job Summary
Manage and oversee complex infrastructure and engineering development projects, including site development, grading, stormwater management, and utilities. Conduct technical analysis, review civil engineering plans, and provide oversight during field investigations and construction observation to verify compliance with codes. Lead project teams, guide junior engineers, and direct staff members on tasks while ensuring timely project delivery. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies to develop proposals, change orders, and cost estimates. Maintain comprehensive documentation, process submittals, and interpret technical data to inform decision-making. Uphold safety requirements and communicate key milestones to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5 - 15 years of demonstrated experience in civil engineering
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in engineering, or other related degree in a technical field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Expertise with the site development discipline
- Oil and gas, geotechnical, or environmental engineering related experience
- Proficiency with relevant software and applications such as GIS, AutoCAD, or similar for designing and drafting engineering plans
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex engineering data to produce actionable insights aligned with client and project objectives
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements pertinent to the engineering field
- Ability to write technical reports, proposals and regulatory documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365
- Strong technical writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours when needed
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborative skills with a strong work ethic
- Be dependable (regular attendance required)
- A demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment
- Employees must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Employees must be able to perform physically demanding tasks while working outdoors in adverse environmental conditions, including rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures, and inclement weather
- Employees must be able to carry out the physical effort necessary to perform job-related tasks

- Advanced certifications or licenses in relevant fields
