Job Summary
The Professional Development Specialist will design, coordinate, track, and improve RCMA's professional development system across early childhood programs, ensuring regulatory compliance with DCF, DEL, OHS, and the Office of Education; will provide training resources, monitor budgets, support HR alignment of education requirements with job descriptions, and oversee credentialing and continuous improvement efforts within RCMA's early childhood ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Organizational Development, Training & Development, Human Resources, Social Services, or related field
- minimum 3 to 5 years of direct experience in professional development, early childhood education, training coordination, or related function
- strong knowledge of early childhood education standards, adult learning principles, and professional development best practices
- working knowledge of DCF, DEL, and Office of Head Start regulations, compliance requirements, and performance standards
- ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a compliance-driven environment
- language skills including clear written and verbal communication
- ability to write professional correspondence, memos, and reports
- capacity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- technology literacy and adaptability to learning management platforms
- travel willingness for local and statewide responsibilities
- mandatory child care training upon hire
- driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- flexible availability including evenings, weekends as needed
- preferred qualifications: experience providing training to large groups; experience managing government contracts and grants; bilingual in English/Spanish
