Job Summary
Coordinate the assessment of educational needs and plan, implement, and evaluate innovative education to meet organizational goals. Foster engagement in lifelong learning to enhance clinical competency and facilitate achievement of specific practice objectives. Serve as a change agent by translating, evaluating, and integrating research and evidence-based practice at the point of care. Mentor leaders and staff through encouragement, support, and guidance while assisting the Director with oversight of daily department operations. Maintain active Kentucky RN licensure and hold Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, with an MSN or Nursing Professional Development certification required within two years of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Active Kentucky RN License
- Minimum 3 years recent acute care clinical experience in area of expertise
- Some leadership or management experience
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- ability to competently present in front of large groups
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Must possess MSN OR achieve certification in Nursing Professional Development within 2 years of hire
- post offer, pre-employment drug testing

- BLS Instructor certification
- Membership in Association for Nursing Professional Development
