Job Summary
Develop, implement, and direct a specialized Professional Development program that improves education outcomes and ensures participation opportunities for educators and district leaders. Design and deliver high-quality professional development resources, programs, conference presentations, seminars, and workshops. Mentor school and district-level leaders on improving student discipline, school culture, and effective PLCs. Conduct school walkthroughs to evaluate program effectiveness and assist in developing strategies to improve educational programs or implement new ones. Continually research emerging tools, pedagogies, and policies to model research-based instructional strategies and innovative practices. Participate in regional/district networks for mutual support and professional growth. Create a safe, low-risk environment for teachers to be observed, pilot, and refine new approaches. Co-plan, co-teach, and debrief lessons with individual teachers or teams. Identify and leverage individual team member strengths to create distributed leadership opportunities. Travel to various locations throughout the county as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of experience in education program implementation and administration
- Master’s degree in Education or related field
- An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications
