Professional Coding Specialist II

Job Summary
Independently performs complex professional coding across multiple specialties and settings (office/clinic, hospital outpatient, ED/urgent care, ASC, SNF/nursing home, telehealth), ensuring correct sequencing, modifiers, and E/M levels with strong payer policy interpretation. Applies advanced ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS knowledge and encoder tools; supports denial prevention and rebilling actions; provides real-time guidance to peers; participates in internal quality review programs and education actions. Requires Epic professional coding skills, encoder proficiency, and familiarity with telehealth coding rules; preferred experience includes teaching hospital or trauma center coding across diverse settings. Education: High School diploma or GED; 3+ years of physician/provider coding experience; CPC or CCS-P certification. Remote work eligible for AR, KS, MO, OK, and TX with training and full-time status.
