Job Summary
Lead event production and audiovisual operations for summer camps, retreats, and guest groups by overseeing sound, lighting, video, and streaming systems while managing vendor contracts and technical rehearsals. Recruit, train, and supervise seasonal photo, video, and A/V teams to ensure staff safety and operational excellence. Manage user support, cybersecurity controls, and IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and Salesforce administration. Coordinate annual budgets, infrastructure upgrades, and technology lifecycle replacements to maintain secure, reliable systems across auditoriums and mobile setups.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in event production, audiovisual operations, or IT management
- Experience managing user accounts, permissions, onboarding, and offboarding
- Experience overseeing computers, servers, networks, Wi-Fi, printers, phones, file storage, and backups
- Experience maintaining cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, patching, access management, and incident-response procedures
- Experience administering technology vendors, software licenses, domains, DNS, and cloud services
- Experience supporting security-camera, gate-access, and related operational systems
- Experience maintaining technology policies, system documentation, and business-continuity plans
- Experience coordinating hardware and software purchasing, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle replacement
- Experience providing staff training and clear self-service technology resources
- Experience leading infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, server modernization, and systems integrations
- Experience supporting administration and improvement of Salesforce and other key business platforms
- Experience prioritizing projects according to ministry impact, security, reliability, and available resources
- Experience tracking system performance, service requests, project progress, and recurring technology issues
- Experience developing annual budgets and long-term capital plans for IT and productions
- Ability to recruit, interview, and hire seasonal photo, video, and A/V team members
- Ability to develop and lead onboarding, technical training, and role-specific preparation for seasonal productions staff
- Ability to supervise, schedule, and support photo, video, and A/V teams
- Ability to establish clear expectations, workflows, safety standards, and measures of success for teams
- Ability to coach seasonal staff through regular feedback, one-on-one meetings, evaluations, and increasing levels of responsibility
- Ability to identify and develop leaders who can serve as team leads, mentor peers, and return in future seasons
- Ability to create opportunities for team members to grow in both technical skills and leadership capability
- Ability to maintain appropriate staffing plans for summer camp, retreats, guest groups, and special events throughout the year
- Ability to partner with Program and Guest Services teams to create effective, engaging session experiences
- Ability to manage vendors and contractors for installations, repairs, and major audiovisual projects
- Ability to coordinate production calendars, event requirements, room setups, and technical rehearsals
- Ability to maintain production equipment, inventories, documentation, and replacement plans
- Ability to oversee sound, lighting, video, projection, streaming, and presentation systems
- Ability to serve as the primary productions contact for guest-group leaders before, during, and after events
- Ability to lead audiovisual production for summer camp, retreats, guest groups, and organizational events
- Ability to provide responsive, professional technical support for events and guest groups
- Ability to ensure production systems are organized, reliable, and ready before each event
- Ability to resolve staff technology issues promptly and communicate clearly
- Ability to ensure networks, systems, and organizational data remain secure, stable, and recoverable
- Ability to ensure equipment and software are documented, maintained, and replaced responsibly
- Ability to train seasonal staff and volunteers to operate equipment safely and consistently
- Ability to complete technology projects on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption
- Ability to ensure departments experience technology as a practical partner in accomplishing ministry goals
- Occasional travel
