Job Summary
Mix raw materials to create finished products according to batch tickets within Blends, Spray Dry, Super Coat, or Rice lines. Set up and start mixing tanks and blenders, pour powders up to 55 pounds, and operate equipment safely including forklifts and pallet jacks. Perform basic quality control checks, measure and weigh ingredients, and maintain sanitation logs while ensuring all SOPs, GMPs, and food safety protocols are followed. Complete batch documentation, manage daily inventory, and communicate with packers and handlers. Work 8-hour shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that may require standing, lifting 55 lbs, and working in cold or dusty conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be available for nights, weekends, occasional overtime, and some holidays
- Capable of reading and comprehending documents, scales, and safety manuals in English
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Must keep a clean-shaven face for proper respirator wear
- Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, climbing, and reaching
- Able to lift 55 lbs on a regular basis
- Able to work 8-hour shifts standing
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times
- Must be able to perform in a fast-paced operation that can run 24/7
- Ability to perform in a dusty environment requiring FIT test for respirator use
- Ability to work in confined spaces to inspect, repair, and troubleshooting inside process equipment
- Ability to work on elevated areas, ascending/descending, and working on ladders, scaffolding, and portable work areas/platforms
- Ability to frequently stand for 85 percent and walk around for 10 percent of shift
- Must be able to work inside and outside and may be exposed to several elements (i.e., dust, noise, extreme cold and heat)
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience working in industrial production
- Forklift trained
