Production Worker - Roof Builder

Job Summary
Under general supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing as part of a team, performing all assigned manual labor while maintaining a neat and clean area. Read blueprints and orders, use hand, air, and electrical tools, and measure with a tape measure to ensure quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner. Communicate effectively with coworkers and adhere to safety procedures. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally more than 100 pounds. Must pass a 7 Panel Drug Screen. Previous experience in manufacturing or modular housing is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically
- Must understand safety procedures
- Must have good teamwork skills
- Must live the Champion Operating Principles
- Must be able to pass a 7 Panel Drug Screen
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing
