Job Summary
Load unpainted metal parts onto the Paint Line and copper bars onto the Bus Insulation Line Conveyor. Unload painted parts, attach identification labels, and move components between operations per routing. Assemble kits for welding and remove finished parts from sheet metal skeletons. Sort and stack parts by number and job combination. Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on Paint Line and Bus Insulation Line equipment. Assist machine operators with tasks and execute labor duties such as painting, grinding, sanding, or cleaning as directed. Complete end-of-shift cleanup and maintain a clean work area. Work Monday through Thursday from 2:30pm to 1:00am with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
- Ability to use computer software to control equipment or look-up company information
- Ability to use basic math, reading and writing skills to perform job function
- Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to follow company operating procedures, safety rules and ISO requirements
- Ability to learn to read mechanical part or assembly drawings
- Ability to read and use a linear tape measure
- Ability to work independently or part of a small team and perform required tasks with little direct supervision
- Ability to maintain a clean work area by picking up trash and sweeping the floor
- Must be able to work from all type of ladders (step ladders, "A" frame ladders, etc.)
- Working at heights usually no higher than 20 feet in the air on an elevated structure using proper lift equipment and Fall Protection Equipment
- Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs or step ladders
- Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction
- Continuous standing and walking
- Able to use upper extremities frequently, work with both arms above shoulders and use both arms at full length frequently
- Must be able to meet physical lifting demand up to 50lbs
