Production Worker on First Shift

Job Summary

Operate filling, labeling, and packaging equipment to manufacture and package products according to work orders while maintaining safety standards. Gather raw materials, assist with line setup, and produce samples for quality inspection before filling, labeling, and stacking finished goods onto pallets. Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned machines, safely operate forklifts with pre-use inspections, and report equipment or quality issues to the supervisor. Maintain clean work areas, follow all prescribed safety procedures, and complete production tasks aligned with daily schedules. This full-time, hourly 1st shift position runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime available on Fridays.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, and safety documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and product quality
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability
  • Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills
  • Reliability, adaptability, and willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn production systems such as JD Edwards
  • Previous experience in production, assembly, or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with Lean principles or 5S programs
  • Experience operating forklifts or other production equipment
  • Lift and carry up to 70 lbs. occasionally and push/pull drums up to 400 lbs. with equipment assistance
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
  • Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders
  • Manual handling of equipment, bottles, and raw materials
  • Ability to stay focused in a repetitive task environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow production instructions accurately
  • Problem-solving and decision-making within defined procedures
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends based on business needs
  • PPE required including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes
