Job Summary
Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment while assisting with aluminum extrusion press operations. Load and unload aluminum materials and finished products, inspecting items to ensure they meet quality specifications. Measure parts using basic tools, package profiles for shipment, and maintain a clean work area. Communicate with team members and supervisors to keep production running smoothly. Perform other duties as assigned. This full-time role includes rotating day and weekend shifts and offers on-the-job training for growth into skilled positions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
- Must have regular attendance
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
Desired Qualifications
- Additional technical or vocational training in machine operation or a related field
- Familiarity with operating press machines, reading technical drawings or instructions, and using measuring tools
- Previous extrusion press experience or in a similar manufacturing environment
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to learn new skills and grow within the company
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
