Job Summary
Operate and maintain the TIG Brush system to remove discoloration, heat tint, and oxides from welds using appropriate cleaning fluids. Monitor passivation tanks, mix chemical solutions, and perform hydrostatic and pneumatic tests to detect leaks and verify performance. Inspect cleaned parts and pressure test assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Document process parameters, maintenance checks, and batch information accurately while adhering to OSHA safety standards and wearing required PPE. Coordinate with quality control and production teams to maintain workflow and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability commitment to safety protocols related to hazardous materials and chemical handling
- Attendance on a regular, consistent basis
Desired Qualifications
- Technical certification or relevant trade school education
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in welding or metalworking
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, chemical handling, or metal finishing environment
- Previous experience with passivation, picking, or metal finishing processes
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
