Job Summary
Perform manual labor on the production line to build manufactured housing while maintaining a neat and clean work area. Read and use tape measures, blueprints, and orders to execute tasks accurately. Utilize hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools under general supervision, communicating effectively with coworkers throughout the process. May travel to work on frames if hauling homes requires it. Requires Mig/Arc welding experience and some fabrication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Mig/Arc Welding experience
- fabrication/design skills
- Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically
- Must understand safety procedures
- Must have good teamwork skills
- Must live the Champion Operating Principles
- Must be able to read and use a tape measure
- Must be able to read blue prints and orders
- Must be able to communicate well with coworkers
- Must be able to use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
- Must be able to travel if needed to work on frames that are hauling homes
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to climb or balance
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Must have close vision

- Must be able to adjust focus
