Job Summary
Complete various tasks in Finishing, Parts, Grinding, Strapping, Upholstery, Assembly, Table Tops, Packing, or Shipping departments using established procedures. Inspect work for quality and specifications, maintain a clean work area, and increase productivity. Operate machinery while ensuring proper function and notifying supervisors of malfunctions. Adhere to company safety policies, report safety violations or serious incidents to leads or managers, and ask supervisors if unsure about procedures. Maintain bilingual English or Spanish skills and basic mathematical abilities. Perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and climbing or stooping. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and temperature extremes.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak and read in either English or Spanish
- Possess basic mathematical skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day
- Regular use of hands to fingers handles or feels
- Required to reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
