Job Summary
Production Welder on a repetitive manufacturing line performing MIG welding of standard aluminum or steel components. Responsibilities include MIG welding within short distances, butt/line welds, inspecting welds, reading blueprints/diagrams/schematics, securing parts with bolts/clamps/tack-welds, sanitary welding, following safety procedures, supporting LEAN concepts (cell setup, value streaming), making procedural adjustments to achieve conformance, maintaining high welding quality as shown by reject/nonconformance charts, and performing additional duties as assigned. Must be able to read instructions and measurements, and pass a welding skills assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and understand instructions, procedures, drawings, and blueprints
- Minimum of 6 months welding experience preferred but will consider new grads
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units
- Able to accurately read a tape measure
- Operate basic hand tools
- Must pass pre-employment welding skills assessment
