Job Summary
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within departments by distributing production schedules, reviewing work orders, and arranging deliveries to meet production demands. Confer with department supervisors, vendors, and customers to assess progress, resolve complaints, and revise schedules due to design changes or material shortages. Requisition and maintain inventories, monitor work processes for accuracy, and compile reports on production progress, inventory levels, and costs. Calculate labor and manufacturing figures using pricing schedules and compile documentation for production sequences and maintenance records. Utilize Materials requirements planning logistics and supply chain software, ERP systems, and inventory management tools to manage operations and optimize resource allocation.
