Job Summary
Maintain herd health and welfare across four sow units and supporting gilt herds while enforcing biosecurity protocols and diagnosing treatment needs. Split time between field diagnostics and documentation, overseeing production managers and analyzing performance data to drive operational gains. Design research projects, support genetics programs, and mentor staff on best practices under direct ownership reporting. No overnight travel required; all farms are within a 2.5-hour radius.
Required Qualifications
- DVM with U.S. veterinary licensure (or eligible for Ohio license upon hire)
- 5+ years of sow production experience in the U.S.
- Has a TN visa, permanent residency, or U.S. citizenship
- Self-motivated, independent, and improvement-minded
- Team-oriented communicator who builds strong relationships across field teams
