Job Summary
Production Utility role involves operating production equipment to produce finished products in accordance with food safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include inspecting products for uniformity and quality prior to packaging, sorting trays by color and bakery name, feeding trays to tray washer, operating pan stacker/unstacker, aiding in product changeovers, discarding scrap, maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, and ensuring legible product codes on packages. Duties rotate as directed, with adherence to safety protocols, HACCP and GMP guidelines. Requires standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and ability to handle warm equipment and high-temperature processes; candidates must be able to work a five- or six-day schedule including weekends and holidays, with shifts of 8 hours or more. Pre-employment background check and drug testing are required. Location: Morristown, IN, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Ability to inspect product for uniformity and quality prior to packaging
- Experience with sorting trays by color and bakery name
- Ability to operate tray washer and stacking equipment
- Ability to perform product changeovers and assist with line changes
- Strong attention to detail to ensure legible codes on packages
- Experience with waste disposal and sanitation practices
- Must maintain clean and sanitary work area
- Ability to read and follow work schedules and safety procedures
- Abide by GMPs, HACCP understanding, allergen procedures
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs frequently, push up to 200 lbs, reach above 7’8”
- LLOTO training and safety procedures
- Background check and drug test required
- Good attendance and dependability
- Safety shoes required from day one
- Pre-employment requirements in manufacturing environment
- Experience with wrapping, pan loading, and product inspection
