Production Unit Shift Manager

Production Unit Shift Manager responsible for line management of operator teams, delivering safety, quality, efficiency and waste objectives on shift. Key duties include safety action completion with the safety team, conducting and following up on safety and quality audits, managing safety incidents and investigations, deploying quality action tracking, ensuring timely training and competency of teams, and driving continuous improvement and performance management. Strong leadership to develop semi-autonomous teams, enforce site standards, manage 0-4 week labour planning, and collaborate with engineers and process teams on long-term improvement plans. Requires a strong manufacturing background, understanding of safety and environmental legislation, and ability to make rapid, sound decisions in a fast-paced factory environment. Enthusiasm for self-development, hands-on problem solving with mechanical skills preferred, and a focus on building a safety-conscious, high-performance manufacturing culture.
