Job Summary
Lead site operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production and shipment of quality products while driving HSE excellence and OSHA compliance. Manage departmental costs, optimize resources, and reduce fixed and variable costs through improved performance and operating discipline. Lead, coach, and develop supervisory personnel; conduct root cause investigations for incidents and near misses to implement corrective actions. Enforce safety rules, perform periodic audits, and introduce proactive problem-solving approaches to prevent operational issues. Deliver results against target performance levels measured by Manufacturing Excellence KPIs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, other closely-related field, or appropriate work experience
- 5-10 years of experience in an industrial facility, preferably in a chemical process production plant with three or more years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory standards
- Experience with safety management systems, exposure assessment tools, and risk analysis methodologies
- Must be able to interact positively and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- Unionized workforce management experience is a plus
