Production Unit Manager

Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Perth production unit in line with Alleima strategy, values, and business objectives. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve an effective site management team. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high ethical standards. Ensure effective communication and cooperation with employees, employee representatives, and trade unions. Hold overall accountability for Health, Safety and Environmental performance at the Perth site and ensure compliance with legislation and management system requirements. Lead and demonstrate commitment to Zero Harm, identify and control risks, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions. Stop work when unsafe. Plan and execute production to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets; optimize use of people, equipment, and materials. Ensure processes meet standards and quality requirements; drive productivity, reliability, and operational effectiveness. Ensure products meet customer/regulatory/internal quality requirements; maintain right-first-time manufacturing and reduce cost of poor quality; lead major quality issue resolution and customer escalations; prepare for audits. Manage Production Unit financial performance per budgets; control costs, improve productivity, and enhance margins; manage working capital with focus on inventory and forecast accuracy; evaluate and execute capital investments per delegation rules. Act as Managing Director/Legal Entity Representative where delegated; ensure compliance with statutory obligations and governance; manage risks and ensure timely closure of audit findings. Engage with customers through visits and exhibitions; support new business opportunities, product developments, and articulation of Alleima’s materials technology leadership.
