Job Summary
Trim the flash from the mold manually and/or using scissors while reviewing job standards before each task. Assure product meets established quality criteria of zero non-conformances by correctly recording scrap every hour per work instructions and applying lot control numbers. Correctly apply all internal and external labels, including removal of old labels from returnable packaging, and review all applicable quality alerts. Immediately notify the Production Supervisor of any discrepancies or conditions identified as out of normal operating conditions. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, participate in team problem solving and continuous improvement activities, and follow all internal and OSHA required safety and environmental procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, or schedule form
- stand on feet at least 8 hours/day
- use hands to touch, handle, or feel
- occasionally talk or hear
- stop, kneel, or crouch
- frequently walk and reach with hands and arms
- lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- good attendance
- able to work overtime as required
- Wear required PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, close toed shoes/boots with rubber sole base)
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
