Job Summary
Production Training Coordinator I develops and implements training programs to enhance skills and efficiency of the production team. Responsibilities include collaborating with the General Manager and HR Director to identify training needs, creating instructional materials, coordinating and scheduling training sessions around production schedules, delivering training using varied techniques, assessing program effectiveness with feedback and performance metrics, maintaining records of training activities and certifications, and ensuring safety regulations are followed during training. Requires forklift operator experience, strong knowledge of production processes and safety, proficiency with MS Office and LMS familiarity, and the ability to be highly organized and communicate effectively. The role spends the majority of time on the production floor observing employees and processes, with about 20% of time in the office for paperwork; starting pay is $23/hr with salary of $65,000/yr after a 90-day probation, transitioning to salaried status, and offering PT0, 401K, parental leave, and opportunities for development.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in training coordination or similar role in production/manufacturing environment
- Forklift operator experience
- Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and safety protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with LMS preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate across departments
- Pallet industry experience strongly preferred
