Job Summary
Welcome new production employees and introduce the work position and environment. Manage training checklists to assign buddies, then demonstrate how to start-up, operate, and shutdown machines while explaining safety risks and standard responses to incidents. Introduce required documentation and ensure proper completion, while providing training on product quality, sample production, visual checks, and Good Manufacturing Practices. Assess new employees using checklists to provide feedback and monitor progress over time. Share best practices and challenges with supervisors and HR.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as an effective operator in Injection molding and/or assembly
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Completed specific training provided by the Quality and EHS departments
- Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Complete knowledge of quality procedures and documentation applicable to production work posts
- Able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb
- Must be able to establish eligibility to work in the United States
