Job Summary
Support new hire onboarding and perform assembler training for both new hires and cross-training existing staff. Stay aligned with trainees until they meet required output quantity and quality standards, then monitor and report performance to leadership. Coach trainees on quality and quantity, retrain as needed, and escalate concerns. Perform 50% of line ICs to monitor assembler quality and partner with quality and manufacturing technicians to review workmanship escapes and identify corrective actions. Track and report this data weekly, monitor daily QC escapes via Tier I board, and address quality issues with assemblers. Become a certified trainer for processes and procedures on assigned lines, regularly review work instructions and aids for accuracy, and ensure all employees on specific production lines are trained to current procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in electronic-based manufacturing environment
- Experience building complex electronic devices with exceptional quality
- Strong attention to detail when building product and following work instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills including analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Lean tools and methodologies
- Ability to work well independently and on a team
- Demonstrated proficiency working with computers and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to lift at least 15-20 lbs
- Must be able to stand or sit for long durations (8 hours excluding breaks)
- Subject to Mandatory Overtime requirements based on business demands
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with regulated environments such as FDA QSR's, ISO13485 for medical devices, and ISO 9001:2000
