Job Summary
Production Testing Technician responsible for testing low and medium voltage electrical equipment (Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards, Breakers, MCCs); collaborate with Engineering to identify issues in electrical drawings; follow ITPs and perform FATs; maintain and update Repair/Calibration database and related records; prepare detailed service and failure records; meet project deadlines; train others and potentially manage teams; strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills; capable of interpreting schematics and working with documentation and test equipment; proficient with Microsoft Office; willingness to travel between local facilities; onboarding notes indicate CET/CTech or Electrician/Journeyman licensing as part of qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Technical college education or equivalent formal training in Electrical Engineering Technologies
- Possess CET/CTech or Electrician’s/ Journeyman designation/license
- Proven experience with low and medium voltage equipment
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in testing, troubleshooting & failure analysis of electrical equipment
