Production Testing Technician Lead

Job Summary
Lead the testing and troubleshooting during the final assembly phase of electrical control and distribution equipment; supervise Testing Technicians; perform diagnostics and Factory Acceptance Tests per IEEE/ANSI standards; verify HIPOT tests, lockout/tagout, and client interface demonstrations; train personnel and provide on-site support for Field Service Technicians; ensure safety and 5S/OSHA compliant manufacturing environment; document test results and maintain quality control across low, medium, and arc-resistant switchgear; interact with customers during witness testing and strengthen vendor relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience testing equipment using IEEE or ANSI Acceptance Standards
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing procedures and equipment
- Working knowledge of medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchgear, control panels, PCD, and crimp plate buildings
- Familiarity with UL 891, UL 1558, DLAH requirements, and related industry standards
- Understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test documentation
- Knowledge of safety protocols for working with energized electrical equipment
- Strong leadership and team development abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Clear, professional communication with internal teams and external clients
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a production environment
- Proficiency with standard manufacturing software and documentation systems
- Education: Highschool Diploma or GED required.
