Production Technician

Production Technician responsible for assembling standard and advanced mixer drives and accessory components per company specifications and procedures. Reads assembly specifications from charts, blueprints, schematics, and engineering documents to determine requirements; documents assembly findings per quality procedures; uses production software to capture direct, indirect and rework time and cost. Supports the Production Supervisor to achieve quality goals and metrics; resolves technical problems with engineering/management; documents defective assemblies via NCR; provides hands-on training to new hires in gear drive assembly; may fill in production and test tank; may cover Field Service as needed. Operates cranes, forklifts, and other shop equipment; participates in ad-hoc project teams; assists with facility maintenance; performs final assembly/inspection, packing and shipping as assigned; adheres to safety rules and maintains a clean, safe work area. Requires ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions; strong communication skills; basic ERP/MRP software experience; ability to work independently and in a team; self-motivated with initiative. Education/Experience: 3-5 years in a manufacturing/production environment, 5+ years mechanical experience, 1 year forklift experience, high school education or equivalent. Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and exposure to typical manufacturing conditions.
