Job Summary
Start extruder, dryer, and backend processing equipment daily, then unload finished bags from the bulk bag loader. Monitor process performance for alarms or abnormal conditions, dispose of waste containers, and produce new chemical batches per standard formulations. Replace chemical totes or drums as needed, shut down the extruder, and record bag output and waste on production logs. Calculate daily process and overall yields, maintain the extrusion area cleanliness, and cross-train in soda line packaging areas. Adhere to MPI protocols for QMS, ITAR, and EH&S compliance while striving to meet production goals. Shift 2 runs from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM with a wage of $22.75 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years in an industrial/chemical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of general chemical safe handling practices
- Detail-oriented, able to preserve, record, and report required data
- Familiarity with automated production / process equipment (chemical pumps, valves, tanks agitators, conveyor motors, etc...)
- Must have good verbal communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must have good dexterity with hands
