Job Summary
Start extruder, dryer, and backend processing equipment, then unload finished bags from the bulk bag loader while monitoring process performance and responding to alarms. Produce new chemical batches according to standard formulations, replacing totes or drums as required, and dispose of filled waste containers. Shut down the extruder after recording bag output and waste on production logs, calculating daily process and overall yields. Maintain general upkeep, cleanliness, and organization of the extrusion area, keeping isles clear and adhering to MPI protocols for QMS, ITAR, and EH&S compliance. Cross train in soda line packaging areas as required to support packaging operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years in an industrial/chemical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of general chemical safe handling practices
- Detail-oriented, able to preserve, record, and report required data
- Familiarity with automated production / process equipment (chemical pumps, valves, tanks agitators, conveyor motors, etc...)
- Must have good verbal communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must have good dexterity with hands
