Job Summary
Start extruder, dryer, and backend processing equipment, then unload finished bags from the bulk bag loader. Monitor process performance, respond to alarms, and dispose of waste containers while producing new chemical batches according to standard formulations. Replace chemical totes or drums as needed, shut down the extruder, and record bag output and waste on production logs. Calculate daily process screening yields and overall yields, then perform daily cleanup and organization of the extrusion area. Adhere to MPI protocols for QMS, ITAR, and EH&S compliance while striving to achieve daily production goals. Support soda line packaging operations and cross-train in packaging areas as required. Operate during the 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM shift at a wage of $22.25 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years in an industrial/chemical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of general chemical safe handling practices
- Detail-oriented, able to preserve, record, and report required data
- Familiarity with automated production / process equipment (chemical pumps, valves, tanks agitators, conveyor motors, etc...)
- Must have good verbal communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must have good dexterity with hands
