Job Summary
Set up and operate process equipment for ceramic manufacturing, including furnace, cleaning, and leak test stages, while reading drawings and work instructions to coordinate product movement. Troubleshoot equipment and fixture issues using precision instruments, record completion steps and scrap transactions, and assist engineers with process development, validation, and prototype builds. Maintain a clean work environment, ensure compliance with regulations, and continuously identify opportunities for improvement to reduce waste. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in industrial technologies or other technical degree
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree, training, or certification(s)
- experience with ceramics or technical ceramics manufacturing
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, process documentation, and basic engineering drawings
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Ability to use or learn precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers
- High level of manual dexterity with the ability to handle small or delicate components and operate hand tools effectively
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry
