Job Summary
Operate injection molding machines, set up molds, and lead changeovers while maintaining validated parameters and target cycle times. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot production issues, and assist operators in minor troubleshooting to ensure 100% cavitation. Execute LEAN, 6S, and GMP initiatives, conduct audits, and report downtime, scrap, and labor efficiency. Direct shift performance, manage process management teams, and complete required certifications. Work flexible hours, including overtime, in a collaborative molding environment supporting operators, engineers, and maintenance groups.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 3-5 years relevant injection molding experience is preferred
- Good mechanical proficiency and proficient computer skills
- Ability to formulate plans and solve problems
- Ability to make assess risks and make decisions
- Knowledge and perform LOTO procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
- Requires the ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds and stand/walk continuously throughout the shift
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift
- Normal visual acuity required
- Able to squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance
- Complete all required Routsis Scientific Molding Training
- Complete RJG Systematic I Molding certification
- Learn, understand and apply meticulous quality standards, detailed protocols and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) SOPs, Specs, and GDPs
- Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
- Must be willing to work flexible hours as required
- Lead shift and report shift performance in the absence of Supervisor (downtime, production, scrap and lead Tier I meetings)
- Lead Process Management Teams, LEAN initiatives, lead 6S, safety and GMP initiatives and special projects
- Perform 6S requirements and Conduct GMP Audits and keep the Department “Audit Ready” at all times
- Must have knowledge of both plant, quality and department environmental health and safety regulations and follow said regulations accordingly
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years relevant injection molding experience is preferred
- RJG Systematic 1 Molding Certification a plus
