Job Summary
Operate industrial trucks, cranes, and production equipment to move materials and fabricate metal products. Measure dimensions using micrometers and steel tape, cut samples, and perform quality checks on finished goods. Record metal flow data via computer terminals and complete required paperwork while adhering to all safety procedures. Work evenings, nights, holidays, and overtime in a rotating 24/7 schedule. This onsite role supports Arconic's advanced manufacturing techniques for aerospace and automotive industries.
Required Qualifications
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
- U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency.
- Some high school education.
- Willingness to work a fixed or rotating 24/7 schedule consisting of 8- or 12-hour shifts.
- Willingness to work evenings, nights, holidays, and overtime.
- Ability to satisfactorily pass a comprehensive skills test.
- Ability to pass a physical examination, drug screen test, and background check.
- Ability to read basic shop drawings, measurements, fractions, and decimals.
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of work experience in an industrial setting.
- Equivalent military experience is also accepted.
- A combination of work experience and post-high-school education.
- Aluminum product knowledge and/or experience with door and storefront fabrication.
- Self-motivated, focused on detail, people- and service-oriented, and possess good communication skills.
- Experience with machine-based equipment, saws, punch presses, and/or milling machines.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
