Job Summary
Production Technician II responsible for testing and assembling Small Unmanned Aerial System products in our manufacturing facility, following engineering drawings and assembly instructions using the work order system. Primary duties include mechanical subassembly and final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles, soldering as part of the assembly, testing and troubleshooting subassemblies and final assemblies, ensuring work order protocols are followed, and completing work orders. May train other technicians, conduct in-process quality checks, collaborate with manufacturing engineers to improve processes and product quality, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Requires reading blueprints/schematics, hand/power tool usage, and strong communication; preferred vocational electronics/Solder Certification and Lean Manufacturing familiarity.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in either electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools is required
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is desired
- Ability to solder as part of assembly function and duties
- Must have good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees in the Company
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail with ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
