Job Summary
Production Technician II contractor responsible for testing and assembling Small Unmanned Aerial System products in AeroVironment's manufacturing facility following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system. Responsibilities include mechanical subassembly with hand/power tools, occasional soldering, final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles, in-process quality checks, documentation of work orders, training other technicians, and collaborating with engineers to improve processes and documentation while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in either electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test
- Experience with hand tools (crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools)
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to solder as part of assembly function
- Strong manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Lean Manufacturing familiarity (desirable)
- Safety and ESD practices familiarity (desirable)
- ITAR/EAR familiar to comply with export regulations
- U.S. person per ITAR definitions
